What i don't get is

politics has become so fervently about individuals when the government itself was made to protect people.

so how is it everyone is debating none stop when we should all just stop and think WHAT IS GOOD FOR PEOPLE?

seriously. this is kindergarten stuff, guys.

  1. That's not the only role of government though. What if what's good for the people is bad for you as an individual? Where do we draw the line? And what if what's good for people now is bad for people in the future? It sounds pretty, but it's just not practical in any concrete sense.

  2. Shiny, shiny power.

But also you've got situations where something is good for one group, but not for another (or at least that group thinks it won't be good for them). How do you balance that?

i deleted anonymous comments because i feel that if you have something to say, you shouldn't hide behind a veil. if you don't feel comfortable with this, then obviously you shouldn't be saying what you intend to.
